A New Venture in Quebec City, QC!

With a mission to be a home in Christ for people who are far from home, this community is fostering Christian fellowship, biblical teaching, and Christian living according to the model of the early Church, while proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and demonstrating God's endless love. The vision is to establish a multicultural Christian community transformed by God's love, united in faith, worship, service, and mission.

Initially founded with the desire to primarily serve Spanish-speaking immigrants to Quebec City, they have now expanded to offer French-speaking translation, and through this have experienced an expanded ministry reach to the larger community and nationalities.

What started a simple gathering of a family in their own home has grown into an emerging ministry expression. Hear the words of Javier as he reflected the very beginning, "One day, during our family worship, the four of us were praying and crying out to God when our friends arrived. They rang the doorbell, but since we did not answer, they went around to the back of the house. The window of the room where we were praying was open, so they heard our prayers and saw all four of us crying. After that, they came back to ask Javier to teach them the Word of God. That is how we began: the four of us and the two of them. Later, two more friends joined us, and eventually we became ten people."

Under the leadership of Javier Pardo and Yadira Becerra, this new venture is launching in partnership with Eglise ACM de Quebec and the St. Lawrence District.

Prayer Requests

You are invited to pray alongside the leadership of this new venture for the following items: 1. A permanent place for the their gathering, so that they do not have to coordinate the logistics and details each week. This would allow for more dedicated time to sharing with people and building relationships. 2. That God would add to the church those who are being saved, as in Acts 2:46-47. 3. That they may grow according to His will by making disciples and reaching the lost for Christ. 4. That God would give wisdom to the leaders and ministry coordinators so that they may fulfill the mission for which God has placed us in Quebec, and become a "home in Christ for those who are far from home." 5. That God would provide the finances so that they may also help other churches in Colombia, Peru, Africa, and other parts of the world.
