Our youth (grades 7-12) meet on Wednesday from 6:00-8:30pm starting with an hour of quizzing and then Bible Study/small group with a social time at the end. Our average attendance is around 30. There is a need in our city for a safe place for young people to gather.

Our children’s ministry is known throughout the city and has a strong volunteer base running all our programming from Sunday School, Kids Church during the Sunday worship service, to Awana on Wednesday night.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries will give primary focus to Youth and give oversight to all ministries that minister to children from birth to grade 12 and help our graduates as they transition out of grade 12.

Overall Goal: Coordinate and oversee activities for teens and children that promote connectedness, knowing God and making Him known.

YOUTH MINISTRY EXPECTATIONS:

1. Training and mentoring youth volunteers.

2. Serve as the primary youth speaker, teaching God’s word in a way that is both relevant to the age and culture of a teen and produces lasting life transformation.

4. Motivate youth in doing evangelism both through lifestyle and through planned outreach.

5. Direct and conduct weekly youth meetings, including large group and small group meetings.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: The following are expectations for all pastoral staff at Prince Albert Alliance Church:

8. Attend staff meetings.

9. Participate in all general church services and functions.

8. Multi-Task – The Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries will have to oversee several people at the same time. The ability to do several tasks is imperative.

9. Self-Motivated – The Lead Pastor believes in his staff. He is not looking to micro-manage a ministry. He is looking for someone that has an intrinsic motivation to give and do his or her best.

10. Technology – Sees culture trends and technology as tools to reach people.

11. Relational – The ideal candidate should be able to relate to, connect, and engage children, teens, and adults.

Team Vision

With the grace of God, and by the power of His Holy Spirit, we want to see groups of local people longing for God, transformed into Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered, mission-focused believers, multiplying disciples everywhere.

Description

Prayer is our most significant strategy. It is here we learn how God wants us to engage with local people around us who are interested in discovering Jesus. Walking alongside nationals who are noble-hearted God-seekers, is the best use of our time. Discipleship of these dear ones happens with time proven relationships, both after and before their commitment to Jesus Christ. Local church fellowships play a critical role in the development of local believers. None of us can stand alone. Cooperating with the local church is a must if we are to see individual believers thrive and the church grow.

Responsibilities

1. WORKPLACE

In the workplace (school or university): Duties and expectations in educational institutions in this nation vary widely from position to position and institution to institution but prospective employees must expect longer work hours than are typical in Canada. Contracts are negotiated individually including the number of teaching hours required. A minimum of 400 teaching hours is required by the government to support a work visa and residence permit. As relationships with colleagues and supervisors from the work environment are the primary “mission field”, excellence in the workplace is expected. Cultural differences, therefore, need to be met with grace, a willingness to adapt and a can-do attitude. Universities also look for experienced professionals to join the faculties. Team Vision

With the grace of God, and by the power of His Holy Spirit, we want to see groups of new believers longing for God, transformed into Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered, mission-focused believers, multiplying disciples everywhere.

Job Title: Pastor for the English-Speaking Congregation

Church: Grace Family Church – The Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada

Location: 1091 Brevik Place, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 3R7

Position Type: Full-Time

Start Date: To Be Determined

Reports To: Senior Pastor and the Church Board of Elders

Position Overview

Grace Family Church is a vibrant Arabic-speaking congregation that has been serving believers in the Greater Toronto Area for over 20 years. Alongside our Arabic services, we currently offer English Sunday School, youth ministries, and young adult gatherings. In recent years, the Lord has blessed us with significant growth, revealing a clear need to launch a dedicated Sunday English service for our emerging church family—young adults, leaders, newcomers, and families seeking a place to call home.

We are prayerfully seeking an English-speaking Pastor who will lead the vision for establishing and growing this new Sunday English service, while overseeing and empowering all English-language ministries. This leader will ensure unity of mission and vision across both English and Arabic congregations, working collaboratively with ministry teams to serve one unified church body.

Key Responsibilities

• Cast vision and lead strategic planning for the English-speaking ministry in alignment with the overall mission of Grace Family Church.

• Deliver Bible-based, Christ-centered sermons as the primary speaker for the Sunday English service.

• Lead biblical teaching in various settings such as small groups, classes, and special events.

• Provide guidance and oversight to worship leaders and musicians (no requirement to lead worship personally).

• Oversee all aspects of the Sunday English service, including coordination of guest or team speakers when needed.

• Provide prayer, counseling, visitation, and personal support through various life stages.

• Lead and support initiatives that serve the practical and spiritual needs of the community, demonstrating Christ’s love through action and the message of Christ.

• Develop strategies to reach, disciple, and integrate young adults, leaders, and families into the life of the church.

• Build strong ministry teams to serve effectively in multiple areas.

• Ensure smooth spiritual transitions and integration across generations.

• Serve in harmony with Arabic-speaking leadership, under the direction of the Senior Pastor.

• Coordinate ministry schedules, volunteer engagement, and timely reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Spiritual Life: A mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evident character, and alignment with the church’s doctrine and values.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; formal theological education such as Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.), Master of Divinity (M.Div.), or equivalent is strongly preferred.

• Experience: Demonstrated pastoral experience in English-speaking ministry, with experience in an ethnic or multicultural church context considered a strong asset. Knowledge of Arabic or an Arabic background is not required.

• Skills: Strong preaching, leadership, relational, and organizational abilities; comfortable with technology and communication tools.

Expected Outcomes

• A spiritually healthy and growing English-speaking congregation fully integrated into the life of Grace Family Church.

• A clear and compelling vision that attracts, disciples, and empowers the next generation.

• A functioning Sunday English service with regular worship and preaching, drawing young adults, leaders, and newcomers to Christ.

• Strong ministry connections between English and Arabic-speaking congregations under one church identity.

• A team of trained and active leaders serving effectively in various ministries.

• Meaningful outreach and Gospel impact within the broader English-speaking and multicultural communities in Mississauga.

Accountability and Coordination

To ensure unity and alignment across all ministries of Grace Family Church, the Pastor for the English-Speaking Congregation will meet regularly—at least once a month—with the Senior Pastor and/or the Board of Elders. These meetings will provide space for prayer, alignment of ministry plans, joint calendaring, and shared discernment regarding the spiritual direction of the church. This rhythm of coordination is essential to maintain one unified church body, avoiding isolated ministry efforts or the perception of a separate or independent congregation.
