A new venture in Ottawa, ON.

Ottawa Sudanese new venture is launching under the supervision of Yamane Hagose, supported by the Eastern District, East Gate Alliance Church, and the International Community of Alliance Churches.


Yamane started meeting with only five people in homes in December 2023, hoping to begin a Sudanese church gathering again, after the only Sudanese church in Ottawa closed in 2021. By the end of the month, the group started meeting at East Gate Alliance Church.

Each week as they continue to meet for church as well as special prayer meetings, the group continues to grow and has now reached more than 25 people.

Those who attend come from diverse religious backgrounds, serving the Lord and worshiping together in unity. Moving forward, Ottawa Sudanese New Venture has a vision to witness the glory of God, witness the reconciliation of people, and serve those outside the church framework.

Prayer Requests

You are invited to pray along with leadership team for the following; 1. That the Lord would fill Yamane with the Holy Spirit and with wisdom to serve and lead with love and humility. 2. That the lord would bless this work to grow and multiply. 3. That they will be a missionary church for all Sudanese and non-Sudanese in Ottawa.
