Following a week of heavy rainfall in Southern Thailand, severe flooding has left nine provinces in crisis. Local authorities estimate that more than 127,000 households have been affected. As the floodwaters begin to recede, families face the enormous challenge of recovery and rebuilding.
Our anti-human trafficking team in Phuket is partnering with the Thai church to bring hope and practical assistance to those impacted. They are currently on the ground assessing damage and identifying urgent needs.
- Together with local partners, we are committed to:
- Providing immediate relief for families in crisis.
- Supporting long-term recovery efforts to restore homes and livelihoods.
- Empowering the local church to share the love of Christ and expand their outreach during this time of need.
As assessments progress, we will share updates on specific needs your contributions will address. Every gift—large or small—will make a real difference. Scripture reminds us that the Lord honours even the widow’s mite. Your generosity will help bring healing and hope to communities devastated by this disaster.
Together, we can be a light shining in the darkness, bringing the hope of Christ to those in grief.
Prayer and Praise:
- We give praise for the safe evacuation of our team in the area and pray alongside them for the suffering of their neighbours, colleagues, and friends
- As infrastructure: roads, power, water, and cell service, have been impacted, pray for the safety of the assessment team and locals as they begin to determine extent and breadth of this emergency and needs
- Pray that as our team and church will let their light shine before others, that these good deeds will be seen and give glory to our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:15-16)
