In a place where believers risk everything and youth literacy is collapsing, our partners exploring all avenues to get Scriptures into people’s lives—through physical Bibles, audio messages, or on social media.

Our partners have working with local believers to translate the New Testament into local dialects so that God’s word could be deeply understood in their own language.

God’s word never returns void

This ministry is doing something more than just rendering text—it’s making disciples. One Yemeni exegete who supports the translation team testified:

“Before taking on this role, I didn’t make enough time to disciple others. My schedule was full, and I was focused on other responsibilities. But now, through this work, I thank God for giving me the opportunity not only to support the translators in understanding the Biblical text, but also to disciple them along the way. The translators often ask deep spiritual questions about the meaning of certain verses. These moments naturally turn into opportunities for discussion, teaching, and discipleship.

This role has become more than just explaining difficult terms or checking theological accuracy—it has allowed me to build meaningful relationships and invest in the spiritual growth of the team.”

What seems like a technical task is actually a ministry of spiritual formation and deep relational connection.

Adapting ministry to a complex context

Over the last decade, school has been disrupted by conflict and poverty, and literacy has been in sharp decline among youth. A translated Bible means little to those who can’t read it so our partner is meeting people where they are at by producing new audio series designed to reach people with theological content. They’re currently creating a series for women and engaging spiritually curious people through social media. As seekers and new disciples respond, they are connected with local church leaders who will mentor them and encourage them to follow Jesus.

In 2026 our partners will:

  • Recruit new staff members for production, distribution, follow-up, and administration
  • Continue translating the New Testament into local dialects and prepare it for audio translation
  • Produce 13 new audio episodes for women in local dialects
  • Distribute digital and physical Bibles in stand Arabic alongside audio episodes in local dialects.
