A Discerning Community in Gatineau, QC. 

Since Arabic Bible Ministries launched as a New Venture in 2018, this community has been a space of worship and discipleship for Arabic-speakers in the Ottawa region. Throughout that period, its leaders have seen a dozen connected families emerge in the nearby Gatineau region. Sensing an opportunity to minister to this group and other Arabic-speaking people in the Gatineau area in their heart language, they are forming the Gatineau Arabic Discerning Community, facilitated by Elie Tannous.

Over the next twelve months, the group will discern if God is bringing together a ministry for them in Gatineau. The idea is to gather families for Bible study and worship, while also connecting with and serving the Arab language and cultural community in Gatineau more broadly.

Elie prays that, ultimately, as relationships are built with local Arabic speakers, the name of Jesus would be made known among them.

This initiative is supported by the Arabic Alliance Network, Saint Lawrence District, Eastern District, Arabic Bible Church, as well as Emmanuel Alliance Church.
