Whole Life Discipleship

The Alliance Canada

One of our Fula believers in a small town in Senegal runs a milk business. He buys local milk from the farmers and after pasteurizing it he sells it as either fresh milk or sweetened yogurt. It’s one of our favourite treats to be able to bring back fresh milk and yogurt when we visit.

A year ago, he took on this young man as an apprentice. Not only was he teaching this man how to run a business but also how to live a life that honours Christ. This summer the young man took the brave step of confessing his faith in Christ and was baptized. He continues to work with our friend, and he’s also brought his brother-in-law.

Would you pray with us that the two of them would not only learn good business skills but as they live with the community of believers, they would also learn what it is to be a faithful follower of Jesus. Pray also for this young man’s wife. She is not yet a follower of Jesus, but she is very interested and open to knowing more about Jesus. She is currently still in her family’s village with their son. One of our heart’s desires is to see whole families come to Christ. Would you pray with us for this young family?
